On Friday 14th February the Under-11 girls' football team travelled to Cairo to compete in the annual football tournament against teams based in Cairo. Playing games against Malvern College, MBIS and NCBIS, the team won every game of the day with their most convincing win of 5-1. To my knowledge, this result has never happened in the history of BSA.
This result was not a one day good performance: this was a reflection of a long-term commitment by all players who have attended after school training each and every week over the last 2 years. Their investment and contribution to the team over a long period of time has improved every player, not only in their skill level but in their understanding of the game. My congratulations and thanks go to all team members who attend training and not just to those few that attended this tournament. The ability to win this tournament has come from your desire to improve and the commitment you have all shown.
You all deserve this win. I am incredibly proud of all of you.
