VLE Workshop for FS1 Parents

Sun, 02/12/2012 - 14:48 -- Peter Astbury

A workshop was held in the IT Lab at school for parents of children in Foundation Stage 1 to introduce them to our Virtual Learning Environment.  The 40 minute session was well attended by parents and was aimed at helping them to use the VLE with their children.

The VLE was setup last year to help improve home-school communication and as a learning tool to help students with homework and assignments.  Any questions about the VLE can be sent to Mr. Astbury at school.

Swimming Gala

Wed, 24/10/2012 - 14:15 -- Lydia Makram

MBIS invited BSA to participate in a swimming gala.  20 students from BSA made the long journey to Cairo to compete.  The standard of competition was very high with many ‘club swimmers’ participating for both schools.

The result in the senior KS3 competition was a draw!  74 points all!  In the Key stage 2 competition, MBIS came out on top with a points score of 148 to BSA’s 120.  This gave an overall total of MBIS 222 and BSA 194.  The BSA students were well pleased by the result and also by the opportunity to represent BSA at Swimming. An excellent achievement.

Tue, 09/10/2012 - 15:35 -- Lydia Makram

Football stars in the making!

The Yr8-10 boys triumphed over ASA with an impressive 8-2 win on 1st Oct. The grass pitch was in great condition and allowed for some more controlled passing and fluent attacking pieces.   An excellent result – well done!
