Welcome to the Summer Term at The British School, Alexandria. We were delighted to have brought swimming lessons back to Alexandria Sporting Club, after a hiatus of almost 5 years - which have been welcomed by our students with great enjoyment. We worked to a jam-packed, tightly-compressed schedule, filled with fantastic, enjoyable learning and support. This area of the curriculum was chosen to run in Sporting Club to offer an even higher standard of facility and swimming experience for the students.
For the first time ever British School Alexandria achieved 1st position in two CIBSA festivals on the same day.
Year 3 and 4 Benchball
The year 3 and 4 Benchball squad dominated all their matches ultimately winning the final by 11 points to 1. A combination of their: fitness, passing, movement into space, work ethic and spirit made them a very powerful unit. They were pushed hard by the other school teams but were never overwhelmed. They were very positive on court and ultimately achieved the result they deserved. Well done!
Extra-Curricular Activities begin on Sunday 15th April and end on Wednesday 12th June. They start at 15.15 and end at 16.15. Students may participate in a maximum of three activities, subject to demand.
KS 3, 4 & 5 students will be required to sign up and bring their money to Ms Maram on Thursday 11th April at the start of break. (10.00) It is hoped that all requests will be accommodated but if an activity is oversubscribed, the situation will be resolved at the discretion of the school.
25 students and 5 staff attended the recent CIBSA Football Festival hosted by the British International School, Cairo.
Our Year 3 and 4 Boys team played exceptionally well as a group, supporting and encouraging each other to victory. The team took 1st place.
The year 5 and 6 Boys team again played well throughout, achieving 2nd place at the festival.
Our combined age Girls team, playing together for the first time, achieved a well earned 3rd place.
Congratulations to all
