Clay Roman Pots in Year 3

Tue, 29/11/2016 - 12:57 -- Lydia Makram
This week in Year 3 we have been painting our clay Roman pots. We tried to recreate the same pattern that we designed in our books at the start of the term. It was hard to paint inside the small shapes and keep our hand steady for consistency in the width of our patterns. Our finished pots look way brighter than the ancient Roman pots because we used ready made paints (The Romans would have used the colours from food and natural resources to paint and decorate their pots).

Y3 Red Work Hard!

Sun, 23/02/2014 - 12:52 -- Manal S

Year 3 Red have had a great Spring half-term, enjoying learning about the famous author Beatrix Potter and reading her many stories about her animal friends and their adventures.

We grew our own cress and wheat plants and carried out lots of interesting experiments!  Here we are closely examining some leaves and stems, and here we are doing observational drawings of a bunch of flowers.
