On the 13th February the Year 7 students continued their investigation into the local history of Alexandria. We visited the Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar and the Amphitheatre to enhance our understanding of the role of Roman and Greek civilisation over 1800 years ago. It gave the students a real taste of archaeology in action after seeing digging at the sites. Also we were fortunate enough to be guided round the sites by an expert from the French Antiquity centre. Maybe one day one of our students will be an archaeologist after experiencing History in the making.
