The Ugly Bug Ball

On Thursday 2nd May, all the children and teachers in FS2 celebrated their work on minibeasts by holding an Ugly Bug Ball.

The children looked amazing.  Everyone was dressed as their favourite minibeast.

We split into four groups and worked with our teacher to make lots of yummy food for our party.

We made centipedes from bananas, honey and pretzel sticks.  Our butterflies were made from carrot sticks, pineapples, cream cheese and olives.  We decorated biscuits with icing and chocolate chips.  We made caterpillars from grapes and counted in 5s to find out how many grapes we had altogether.

We also made a butterfly using folded paper and pipecleaners.  We made black spider's webs by dropping paint onto paper to make interesting patterns.

In the afternoon we played party games and danced to our favourite songs.

We were very tired by the end of the day.
